丝状斜叶原产于哥伦比亚，这种龟背竹在所有同属植物中，开洞程度都是令人难以置信的。该植物幼年时叶片并不开洞，随着成熟发展出深深的穿孔。幼叶无穿孔、波浪状且细长，而成熟的叶子由深深穿孔且波浪状、蕾丝般的叶子组成，这些叶子由最细的细丝连接在一起。新长出的叶子极其脆弱，在叶子膨胀时看起来好像要散开一样。它们被标记为龟背竹近似斜叶龟背竹 “丝状”，因为它们与斜叶龟背竹有被认为的关系，并且基于花序和形态在斜叶龟背竹复合体中被确定。
The Monstera obliqua Filamentous is native to Colombia. Among all plants of the same genus, this Monstera has an incredibly high degree of fenestration. The leaves of this plant do not have holes when it is young. As it matures, deep perforations develop. Young leaves are without perforations, wavy and slender. While mature leaves are composed of deeply perforated, wavy, and lace-like leaves that are connected together by the thinnest filaments. Newly grown leaves are extremely fragile and seem to be about to fall apart when the leaves expand. They are labeled as Monstera affinis obliqua "Filamentous" because they are thought to be related to Monstera obliqua and are identified within the Monstera obliqua complex based on inflorescence and morphology.
