Monstera Unniiae 国内常见名称“海神之女”，并不准确，正式名称应为 小浪花龟背竹。命名者为 Camilla Holm，Unni为其小女儿的名字，来自北欧神话中海神埃吉尔（Ægir）和海女神兰的九个女儿之一的名字，意思是小浪花、新生/年轻或爱人。叶子形态与海洋中随浪摆动的海藻非常相似。结尾 -iae 是拉丁语中“她的植物”的女性结尾。
小浪花龟背竹是普通短茎龟背竹籽播变异个体，它的茎秆与叶柄与普通龟背竹并无明显区别，幼叶通常呈尖锐的箭头形，边缘有褶皱凹陷，叶背有黑色不透光或者半透光的斑块，尚未发现成熟叶开洞。
Monstera Unniiae, the namer is Camilla Holm. "Unni" is the name of her youngest daughter. It comes from the name of one of the nine daughters of the sea god Ægir and the sea goddess Ran in Norse mythology. The meaning is small wave, new/young or lover. The leaf shape is very similar to the seaweed swaying with the waves in the ocean. The ending "-iae" is the female ending in Latin meaning "her plant".
Monstera Unniiae is a seeded mutant individual of ordinary short-stemmed Monstera. Its stems and petioles have no obvious difference from ordinary Monstera. Young leaves are usually in a sharp arrow shape, with wrinkled depressions on the edges. There are black opaque or semi-translucent patches on the back of the leaves. No mature leaves with holes have been found yet.
